Mouse Anti-Rat Kappa MicroBeads

Anti-Rat Kappa MicroBeads were developed for the positive selection or depletion of cells labeled with primary rat antibodies carrying kappa light chains. They can also be used for the positive selection or depletion of rat B cells according to the expression of the immunoglobulin (Ig) kappa light chain.

Quantity
A majority (95%) of all rat B cells express the Igκ light chain. Anti-Rat Kappa MicroBeads bind equally well to the Ig light chain allotypes Igκ-1a and Igκ-1b. Together with the Ig heavy chain, the Ig light chain is expressed on the surface of immature IgM

B cells and memory B cells, and is down-regulated on activated B cells upon terminal differentiation into plasma cells.

Downstream applications

B cells isolated with Anti-Rat Kappa MicroBeads from peripheral lymphoid organs or non-hematopoietic tissues are suitable for

studies on B cell development, differentiation, and migration. Highly pure B cell populations are also required for reliable cellular and molecular analyses, for example, of Ig gene rearrangement.
